How do I report a street light out?
Please call Xcel Energy at 1 (800) 895-1999 with the location of the street light.
It is very helpful to Xcel if you have the nameplate information from the street light. Xcel identifies all lights with a tag.
You can also do this on line at:

Who cuts the trees by streets and sidewalks?
It is the property owner’s responsibility to maintain trees and shrubs on your property or in the adjacent right of way to your property. There must be a clear space of 8 feet above any sidewalk and 13 feet above any street or alley per city code. (Section 17.18 and 17.03) Over hanging limbs can obstruct street signs and damage vehicles such as delivery trucks, school busses, street sweepers, refuse trucks or other vehicles. Pedestrians and children in the adjacent area can also be at a greater risk of injury. These risks can be reduced with periodic maintenance of trees, shrubs or other vegetation. Visibility triangles are also critical at intersections and entry points onto the road way. If you want to report non compliance with these codes please contact our Code Enforcement Office at (970) 625-6276
