Application for New License
Application Information
An application for a new liquor license (PDF) consists of the following items:
- Colorado Liquor Retail License Application, including all items on the checklist on page 2 of the application
- Diagram of the premises to be licensed
- The following documents completed by: each individual applicant, all general partners of a partnership, and limited partners owning 10% (or more) of a partnership, all officers and directors of a corporation, and stockholders of a corporation owning 10% (or more) of the stock of such corporation, all limited liability company managing members, and officers or other limited liability company members with a 10% (or more) ownership interest in such company,and all managers of a Hotel and Restaurant or a Tavern License.

- Verification of Responsible Serving/Selling of Alcohol Training
Application Process
The application process includes the following steps:
- Preliminary conference with City Clerk
- Completion and submission of application forms by applicant
- Review of documents for completeness by staff
- Background investigation by staff
- Review of results of background investigation by staff
- Formal acceptance of application; preliminary conference; and scheduling the public hearing by City Council
- Publish legal notice and post property by City Clerk
- Public hearing before City Council
- Decision by City Council
- Submission of application to state by City Clerk
- State approval
- Issuance of licenses by City Clerk
