The mission of the Rifle Senior Center is to provide a safe and friendly environment to promote social interactions with nutrition, activities, and educational programs.
Rifle Senior Center has partnered with the Garfield County Senior Programs to provide a hot meal for adults 60 and over. Meals are served at the Rifle Senior Center at noon on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Reservations are requested by noon the previous day by calling 665-6540.
The Senior Center has numerous activities and bus trips planned each month. Please see our current newsletter for a list of current activities.
The Senior Advisory Board meets the third Tuesday of every month at 1:15 p.m. at the Senior Center. Board consists of nine board members and one representative from City Council. The Board is established under the Rifle Municipal Code, Section 2, Article VII, with the powers delegated as provided in the Article for the purpose of operating and maintaining the Rifle Senior Center.
This committee is a large group of volunteers that oversee the aluminum can project, donation table, monthly breakfast, and other miscellaneous fundraising throughout the year to raise money for different needs of the Senior Center. All money raised is put back into the Senior Center for much-needed equipment, building improvements, and supplies.
