Public Safety Citizen Advisory Board

In 2014, the Rifle City Council established the Public Safety Citizen Advisory Board (Sec. 2-5-40.) 
 

The Public Safety Citizen Advisory Board serves many roles, some of which include: 
  • Review and provide community perspective and recommendations concerning procedures, programs and the effectiveness of the police service to city officials.
  • Enhancing police-community relations.
  • Promote public awareness of the City's police services and programs.
  • To apprise the City Council, City Manager and Chief of Police of the community's needs for police services.
  • Assist with the hiring process for new officers.
