In consultation with Colorado River Fire & Rescue, the City of Rifle will proceed with its’ annual Independence Day fireworks display on Sunday, July 3rd, beginning at approximately 9:45 p.m.  The Annual July 3rd Celebration begins in the morning with a full day of family activities.

From 11:00am to 3:00pm at Metro Park, there will be bounce houses, a dunk tank, an inflatable slip and slide, a bubble tower and food trucks. Pool session fees will be reduced to $3.00 for the day. Tickets may be purchased in advance for the pool on the City website, Rifleco.org. Tickets at the window will be based on availability.

At Centennial Park, Symphony in the Valley’s ensemble, Noodle Soup, will be playing a concert beginning at 7:00pm.

Symphony in the Valley will then present a patriotic concert beginning at 8:00pm at the Centennial Park Amphitheater. The PA system will be extended so you can enjoy great symphony sound even if you are not seated in front of the stage. Food vendors will be at the park as well.

Come early and enjoy the afternoon visiting Rifle businesses, restaurants and the park prior to the show. Centennial Park is a beautiful venue with a great playground. The Centennial Park water spray pad will operate for extended hours that night until 8:30pm.

Large crowds are expected for these festivities. The trail to Centennial Park will be shut down during the fireworks. Parking is available at all City lots, Rifle Middle School and the fairgrounds. Please obey all traffic control devices and pack your patience. Alternate routes to leave the area include Whiteriver Avenue, Highway 6 and 16th Street to the Highway 13 Bypass.

The City would like to remind everyone that open burning of fires, including the sale, possession or use of fireworks, is prohibited in the City of Rifle and Rifle Mountain Park from Memorial Day to Labor Day each year. All City parks are alcohol-free.

If conditions change and the firework show is canceled, message boards will be posted around town and information will be available on the City website, rifleco.org and all   City social media pages.
